Grant County Health Officials have planned a COVID-19 testing site for Wednesday (Aug 26) at Southwest Tech’s Safety Complex in Fennimore. The site will be open from 10a to 5:30p. Those who wish to be tested should follow the signs when they arrive at the site entrance on County Highway F, between McGhan Road and Highway 18. Tests in Fennimore are free of charge and involve swabbing a sample from about one inch inside of your nose. Participants do not need to be a resident of Grant County to be tested. People 5 years of age and older can get tested at these sites. However, those aged 5-17 years old must be accompanied by a guardian. No appointments are necessary and each testing site is first-come, first-served – with the possibility of having to wait in line. If severe weather occurs August 26th, testing may be halted or canceled.
