MADISON, Wis. — From the ice at LaBahn Arena to the cover of the world’s top-selling hockey video game, Sarah Nurse continues to make history.
The forward, who helped the Badgers reach four straight NCAA Frozen Fours from 2014 to 2017, became the first woman to ever feature on the cover of EA Sports’ NHL video game, joining Anaheim Ducks star Trevor Zegras on the front of NHL 23.

Nurse was a star in Beijing earlier this year, setting the record for most points and most assists in a single Olympics tournament. That included the opening goal in the gold medal game. Nurse deflected a shot past the goaltender to give Team Canada the lead over Team USA. The Canadians would go on to win.
It wasn’t the first time Nurse reached the Olympic podium. She won a silver medal with Canada at Pyeongchang in 2018. She also won gold at the IIHF World Championship in 2021.
