Two Vehicle Crash with Blockage

On Wednesday just before 11am last week, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a two vehicle crash with blockage near the intersection of Highway 35/61 and Airport Road in the Town of South Lancaster. 81 year old John Brinkmann of Cassville was cited for failure to maintain control of his vehicle after an investigation determined that he was operating his vehicle and failed to notice a Scenic Rivers Energy Cooperative truck driven by Eric Van Natta slowing down to make a left hand turn onto Airport Road. Brinkmann was unable to stop before rear ending the truck, causing minor damage to the truck. Brinkmann was evaluated by EMS on scene and released. His vehicle was a total loss. Van Natta reported no injuries.
