A Montfort man was seriously injured after striking a deer with his motorcycle Sunday afternoon in northern Grant County. According to a sheriff’s department report, 54-year-old Tony Coy was driving south on Highway 133 near Woodman when the deer ran out in front of him. Coy lost control of the motorcycle and was ejected from the bike. Authorities said he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. Emergency personnel contacted Med-Flight for assistance due to the critical injuries Coy received. He was taken to UW Hospital in Madison. The crash remains under investigation.
