One Vehicle Hit and Run Crash Near Platteville

The Grant County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a one vehicle crash on County Highway B near Platteville around 7:45am Saturday. After an investigation, it was found that 31 year old Kristen Adams of Bloomington was on County Highway B at approximately 3:00 am. Adams told deputies that she fell asleep behind the wheel and entered a ditch. The vehicle struck a fence before coming to a rest in a culvert. Adams later called for a ride from the scene and did not notify law enforcement of the crash. The vehicle had heavy damage and Adams was wearing her seatbelt and was uninjured in the crash. Adams was cited for Failure to Notify Police of an Accident and Hit and Run Property Adjacent to a Highway. SOS towing assisted at the scene.
