Hazel Green Woman Arrested For OWI and Other Charges

Lafayette County authorities arrested 41 year old Sondra Willis of Hazel Green Thursday around 11:30am. Willis was operating a vehicle when she struck a power pole. As a result, Willis was arrested for Battery to Law Enforcement, Resisting/Obstructing, Criminal Damage to Government Property, Operating while Intoxicated – 3rd Offense, and Possession of Methamphetamine. Willis was taken to the Lafayette County Jail where she was booked and remains in custody. Willis was also cited for Operating after Suspension and Failure to Maintain Control. The accident remains under investigation. Belmont EMS and Belmont Police Department assisted on scene.
