A deputy from the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department responded to County Highway O in Kendall Township Saturday night around 11:20pm for check welfare. 29 year old Leon Ortiz of Belmont was arrested for Operating while Intoxicated. Ortiz was taken to the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office where he was released to a responsible party. Ortiz was also cited for Operating without a Valid Driver’s License
