Law enforcement personnel in Crawford County conducted a traffic stop on Highway 131 in the Township of Freeman on May 24th. During the stop, Crawford County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Diego was utilized and alerted to the presence of one or more controlled substances in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was conducted, and the following was discovered; fentanyl, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia. The driver, 38 year old Jared Olson of Westby, and his passenger, 36 year old Samantha Dolezal of Gays Mills, were arrested and taken to the Crawford County Jail on charges of possession of a narcotic drug, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Additionally, Olson was arrested on charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a restricted controlled substance–3rd Offense and operating after revocation.
