‘Rust’ Armorer Loses Bid for New Trial Over Withheld Evidence

A judge upheld the guilty verdict against Rust armorer Hannah Gutierrez Reed, rejecting the defense’s request for a new trial based on withheld evidence. The judge concluded that the undisclosed forensic report and interview with the weapons supplier that got Alec Baldwin’s case dismissed would not have changed the Reed’s trial outcome.
