Michael Che, the comedian best known for his role on Saturday Night Live’s Weekend Update, is work-shopping a new late-night show at Manhattan’s City Winery, titled Don’t Sleep With Michael Che. The show has an experimental feel, featuring ad lib segments and unstructured guest interviews. While Che has discussed the project with SNL boss Lorne Michaels, he’s currently focusing on live testing and audience feedback before considering it as an exit strategy from SNL. “So, I have no idea where this goes, but you never know, maybe NBC will put it on at 3 in the morning,” he told The Hollywood Reporter about the show earlier this month.
