Director Jon M. Chu welcomed his fifth child with wife Kristin Hodge on Saturday, missing the premiere of his new movie Wicked to be present for the special moment. Attendees at the Los Angeles event were surprised with a video message from Chu. “I’ve waited for three years to have this moment to share our movie with you… but I’ve waited my whole life to have this moment, to have our fifth child right now,” he said. Chu expressed his gratitude to the film team, then passed the premiere baton to producer Marc Platt. Chu and Hodge have four other children: Willow, 7; Jonathan, 5; Ruby, 3; and Iggy, 20 months. The first movie opens in theaters on November 22nd. (EW)
