An Amish man suffered minor injuries after a vehicle crashed into his buggy about 5 miles north of Platteville Monday evening. The Grant County Sheriff’s Office reports 30-year-old Ephraim Lapp of Platteville was thrown from his buggy around 6pm while traveling on Highway 80. Lapp sustained an injury to his hand but refused treatment. His buggy was struck by 71-year-old William Richard of Platteville. Richard wasn’t hurt in the crash. Although his vehicle received moderate damage, Richard was able to drive it from the scene. Deputies reported Lapp’s horse was not injured – however the buggy is considered a complete loss. Authorities say the crash remains under investigation.
