Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart for the 27th week, matching the longest chart-topping run of the 2020s, a mark previously set by Gabby Barrett’s rookie smash hit from 2020-21, “I Hope.” The two songs are tied for the third longest reign at No. 1 since Hot Country Songs became a genre ranking back in 1958. Bebe Rexha and Florida Georgia Line’s “Meant To Be” ruled for a record 50 weeks starting in December of 2017, surpassing Sam Hunt’s “Body Like a Back Road,” which led for 34 weeks beginning that February 2017. Coincidentally, all four of these songs also became crossover hits at both country and pop radio formats. “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” also ruled the Country Airplay chart for seven weeks beginning in August, becoming the longest No. 1 stay for an initial entry. The song also previously became the first track ever to reach the Top Five on Country Airplay, Pop Airplay, Adult Pop Airplay, and Rhythmic Airplay charts. (Billboard)
