At approximately 12:10 a.m. on Monday Iowa County 911 Center received multiple reports of a vehicle collision with a residential duplex in the Village of Linden. Emergency responders, including Linden First Response, Linden Fire Department, Mineral Point EMS, and Iowa County Sheriff’s Department, quickly arrived at the scene. Initial investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by 46-year-old Bradley Govier of Cobb, was traveling southbound on State Highway 39 as it entered the Village of Linden. Govier lost control of the vehicle, which then veered off the roadway, striking a residential duplex, causing significant damage. Both Govier and his passenger, along with the occupants of the affected duplex, were unharmed, despite the severity of the collision. Govier was arrested at the scene and booked into the Iowa County Jail for Operating While Under the Influence – 1st Offense and Going Armed with Firearm While Intoxicated. The incident remains under investigation.
