36-year-old Dustin Mudd of Viroqua was arrested following a traffic incident in the Town of Viroqua late Saturday afternoon. At approximately 4:30 PM, the Sheriff’s Office 911 Dispatch Center received a report of a blue pickup truck being operated erratically on Highway 14, near County Road Y. The vehicle was traveling south toward the City of Viroqua and Viroqua Police Department quickly responded to assist the Sheriff’s Office. Traffic on Highway 14 was heavy due to the finish of the WIAA High School Sectional Wrestling Tournament in Westby. The vehicle, a dark blue 2019 Ram Laramie was stopped on North Main Street in the City of Viroqua. Mudd was taken into custody for Operating While Intoxicated and Felony Bail Jumping. Any motorist who encountered this vehicle on Saturday afternoon between La Crosse and Viroqua, and witnessed traffic violations are urged to contact the Sheriff’s Office at (608) 637-2123. Photos of the vehicle are being released. Assisting the Sheriff’s Office was the Viroqua Police Department. The incident remains under investigation.
