Time to remove fishing shanties

Deadlines are approaching for ice fisherman to remove their permanent ice shanties. The Wisconsin DNR sent out a reminder Tuesday of the dates by which shanties should be removed, based on their respective areas the Wisconsin. Ice shanties on the Iowa boundary waters had to be removed by February 20. Wisconsin – Minnesota boundary waters need to be removed on or before March 1 and Inland waters south of Highway 64 by March 2. Portable shanties can still be used after this date, as long as they are removed when not in use.
