Gene Hackman And Wife Test Negative For Carbon Monoxide

Gene Hackman and his wife, Betsy Arakawa, who were found dead with their dog in Santa Fe, New Mexico last week — tested negative for carbon monoxide poisoning. Sheriff Adan Mendoza stated that while autopsy results did not show any external trauma, further investigations will be needed to determine the cause of death. The deaths are still considered suspicious, with no signs of foul play or gas leaks found. Hackman apparently died more than a week earlier than his wife — on February 17th, which is the last day his pacemaker recorded an “event,” Mendoza said. “I think that is a very good assumption, that that was his last day of life.” (UPI)
