A teacher at Darlington Elementary and Middle School recently earned an award from the Herb Kohl Educational Foundation. Mark Acherman received a Teacher Fellowship award from the educational foundation. According to a press release, a total of 100 teachers statewide received the fellowships, which come with a $6,000 award per recipient, in honor of “their ability to inspire a love of learning, motivate students and lead both inside and outside the classroom,” the release states.
