Mineral point man arrested following suspicious person call

On Wednesday at 12:55 PM The Iowa County Communications Center received a report of a suspicious person near the intersection of Chestnut St and Clowney St in Mineral Point. Mineral Point Police Department and Iowa County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene. As a result of the incident, 42-year-old Matthew M Rohowetz of Mineral Point was arrested on 3 counts of Felony Bail Jumping and Disorderly Conduct. Rohowetz was transported to the Iowa County Jail where he remains in custody at this time.
