A nonprofit manager and veteran plans to run for Dubuque mayor. Jason Davis announced his candidacy Saturday, touting a vision grounded in action, transparency and a commitment to all who call Dubuque home. Davis served eight years in the U.S. Army Special Operations with the 2nd Ranger Battalion and currently works with Alzheimer’s Association as a manager of Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Davis said his campaign’s priorities are public safety and emergency response, economic development, and fiscal responsibility and transparency. He is hosting a Meet the Candidate event at 5 p.m. Thursday at Baraboo’s on Main. The public is invited to ask questions, share ideas and hear from Davis.
