Authorities said two Clayton County residents operated an unlicensed meat processing business. 74-year-old Allen W. Dlouhy, and 46-year-old Jennifer A. Gamerdinger both of rural Edgewood, were arrested March 31 on warrants charging third-degree fraudulent practice and meat and poultry violation. According to the Clayton County Sheriff’s Department, the pair allegedly operated a meat or poultry establishment without first obtaining a license from the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship. Court documents state that Dlouhy and Gamerdinger manufactured and sold canned beef and swine without a license.
