Kenny Chesney continues to bring in surprise special guest appearances during his celebrated residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas, with previous star-studded duets with Kelsea Ballerini, Grace Potter, and Megan Moroney highlighing his recent sold-out shows. On Friday (May 30), Chesney was joined by his longtime friends and collaborators Old Dominion for a jubilant performance of the country superstar’s No. 1 hit, “Save It For a Rainy Day,” which was co-written by OD frontman Matt Ramsey. “For the life of me, I can’t figure out why they didn’t record this song,” Chesney joked during his intro. “But I’m not questioning it at all, because it was a really big record for us!” They also joined together for a spirited rendition of OD’s 2021 Country Airplay Top 10 hit, “I Was On a Boat That Day.” Chesney’s rousing shows, combined with his ongoing lineup of special guests, solidifies his 2025 Sphere residency as a must-see event for country music enthusiasts this summer.
