No injuries were reported following a deck fire on South Grandview Avenue. On Sunday around 1:12 AM Dubuque Fire Department was dispatched to an apartment deck at 1707 South Grandview Ave for a back deck fire. The exterior fire was extinguished within 10 minutes of arrival. The apartments had no fire damage however light smoke damage was observed. Crews located a fire in a parapet wall and in the flat roof system, which was promptly extinguished. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Volunteers from the Red Cross assisted two families to find temporary living arrangements. Estimated property loss was $60,000. The Dubuque Fire Department was assisted on scene by the Dubuque Police Department.
