Authorities said a fire at a Dubuque County farm building caused $40,000 in damage, though no injuries were reported. Firefighters responded shortly after 6 p.m. Wednesday to Comer Road near Farley following a report of a structure fire. According to a press release from the Dubuque County Sheriff’s Department, crews extinguished the fire at a farm building containing about 220 bales and kept the blaze from spreading to other structures. Authorities said the fire does not appear to be suspicious.
