A Dubuque man has been sentenced to five years in prison after police said he led law enforcement on a high-speed chase through Dubuque while driving a pickup truck pulling a trailer. 38-year-old Zachary A. Brenner recently received the sentence in Iowa District Court of Dubuque County after pleading guilty to eluding. The charge stems from an incident on Feb. 24, 2024. Court documents state that Brenner drove away from an attempted traffic stop by a Dubuque County Sheriff’s Department deputy at a speed well over the posted speed limit.
