The City of Dubuque Parks and Recreation Commission is inviting the community to submit name proposals for a new park in the South Pointe neighborhood. The subdivision developer says the park is set to feature playground equipment, swings, a picnic table, a park bench, and a bike rack, with an expected completion this fall. Proposed names should reflect historic events, notable individuals or groups, major donations, or geographic location. Submissions must include the proposed name and its rationale, with optional supporting documentation. Residents can submit proposals at cityofdubuque.org/planyourpark or obtain paper forms at the parks and recreation office. The deadline for submissions is July 16.
