The Platteville Excellence in Education Endowment Fund has awarded $9,423 in grants recently to 10 projects in the Platteville School District. The fund was established in 2021 to support the educational needs of the Platteville School District that are not funded through the regular school budget. Grant projects include: Flexible seating and a heavy-duty paper cutter at Neal Wilkins Early Learning Center, Pedal desks at Westview Elementary School, Keyboard instruments and Builders Club support at Platteville Middle School, Purchase of stereomicroscopes, three-wheel bikes and supporting the Art Metals and Jewelry class and Choral Commission Project at Platteville High School, and the Purchase of reunification kits at Platteville School District.
