Speed limit changes in Potosi

The Village of Potosi is enacting speed limit changes on two stretches of North Main Street. The stretch from Jentz to Milke drives will see a speed limit of 25 mph, reduced from 35 mph. The stretch from Milke Drive to Wisconsin 35/U.S. 61 will see a speed limit of 35 mph, reduced from 45 mph. The changes will go into effect around July 15, according to a village social media announcement, and are being made “to improve safety for all drivers, pedestrians and residents in the area.”
