Southwest Wisconsin leaders say weather was largely to blame for a slight dip in tourism economic impact last year that bucked the statewide trend of continued growth. Wisconsin’s total economic impact generated by the tourism industry increased from $25 billion in 2023 to $25.8 billion in 2024, marking a third consecutive record-breaking year. Grant County, however, saw a drop from $112 million to $109 million, or about a 2.8% decrease. Lafayette County, at about $29 million and Iowa County, at $77 million, both saw 0.7% drops. Crawford County, at $73 million, saw a 0.3% increase.
