The Dubuque City Council has approved an updated ordinance regarding recreational use of consumer fireworks within the city limits. The updated ordinance reflects recent changes to Iowa law, which no longer allows municipalities to prohibit fireworks usage during daylight hours on July 3, July 4, and December 31.
