Madison woman arrested for drugs in Dodgeville

On Sunday at 12:20 AM Iowa County Sheriff’s Deputies, with assistance from the Dodgeville Police Department, conducted a traffic stop on Highway 18 near North John Street in the City of Dodgeville. As a result of the stop, 54-year-old Denise F. Washburn of Madison, was arrested on charges of 2nd offense Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Resisting or Obstructing an Officer, Delivering Articles to Inmates, and 2nd Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety. Washburn was transported to the Iowa County Jail, where she remains in custody on a probation hold.
