The Dubuque Police Department recently partnered with the Iowa Department of Revenue to conduct compliance checks aimed at reducing underage alcohol sales. Throughout this week, Dubuque police conducted compliance checks on 21 local businesses that sell alcohol. Twenty of those locations passed, while one illegally sold alcohol to an underage customer under the supervision of law enforcement, a press release states. Police said the employee who made the sale was cited. The press release does not name the business where the sale happened, and police did not respond to a request for more information.
