A judge dismissed the charge against a man who police said drove an all-terrain vehicle that crashed in Dubuque, injuring an occupant. The charge of serious injury by vehicle against 21-year-old Ayden A. Bries of Dubuque was dismissed following a motion for dismissal by the Dubuque County Attorney’s Office in Iowa District Court of Dubuque County. Prosecutors said in court documents that they did not believe they could prove the charge beyond a reasonable doubt. The charge was connected to an incident in September in which court documents state multiple witnesses said they saw Bries operating an ATV at the time of a Dubuque crash that injured an occupant of the ATV.
