On Monday, at 5:30 AM, an Iowa County Sheriff’s deputy conducted a traffic stop and arrested 43-year-old Tyson Edward Rogers of Lone Rock, Wisconsin. The arrest followed a high-speed vehicle pursuit in the Town of Dodgeville. The deputy observed a red hatchback vehicle traveling at 106 mph in a posted 55 mph zone on Highway 23 near Nelson Road. Despite activation of emergency lights and siren, the vehicle continued at excessive speeds before eventually slowing and coming to a stop on Highway 23 near Goldmine Road. Rogers, admitted to the high-speed travel. A records check revealed that Rogers is currently on felony bail in Sauk County and is also on probation and parole. The Department of Corrections was notified and confirmed a hold would be placed. Rogers was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Iowa County Jail. He faces Vehicle Operator Fleeing/Eluding Officer and Felony Bail Jumping A court date has been scheduled for August 12, 2025.
