Riley Green reflects on how a fishing trip with Luke Bryan led to their collaboration, “Reel Problems,” which was featured on his 2024 album, Don’t Mind If I Do. Green co-wrote the song with Erik Dylan and Wyatt McCubbin, but the inspiration for the track comes from Green and Bryan’s first time hanging out together. “That was one of the first things we did together was go fishing in his lake, you know, down south in Nashville,” Green revealed. “We had a great time. He’s such an easy dude to hang out with, and him growing up in Georgia, we grew up the same way, so we immediately hit it off.” When it came time to collaborate on the track, Green reached out to Bryan directly and bypassed traditional industry channels. “I sent him a text,” Green explained. “Features like that are probably supposed to go through labels and management, but I just texted him and it worked out.” (Country Now)
