The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is celebrating the 10-year anniversary of the DNR’s Snapshot Wisconsin and the milestone of capturing 100 million photos of wildlife. Snapshot Wisconsin, a community-based program utilizing cameras to monitor wildlife, was created a decade ago to involve community members in monitoring wildlife throughout Wisconsin. It was initially supported by a NASA community science grant received by the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2013. This project operates in every Wisconsin county with over 2,000 active trail cameras. Approximately 25,000 volunteers have contributed to collecting 100 million photos,
