The Grant County Historical Society is planning a work day to help restore a historical church. The organization will hold the event beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday at Mount Zion Church located on Grant County K, according to an online announcement. The church celebrated its 100th anniversary in October 1971, but the congregation subsequently declined in numbers and the church was closed. The church building hosts occasional wedding ceremonies but is otherwise unused. Call the historical society at 608-723-4925 for more information.
