On Wednesday the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department conducted a traffic stop on Highway 27 and County D in the Village of Eastman. During the stop, K-9 (Diego) was utilized and alerted to the presence of one or more controlled substances in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of methamphetamine paraphernalia. The operator of the vehicle, 39-year-old Lukas Pitzer of Wauzeka, was subsequently arrested and transported to the Crawford County Jail on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. Also, Pitzer was cited for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended driver’s license, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, and operating a motor vehicle with expired registration.
