Southwest Technical College hosting celebration of Aspen Prize

Southwest Wisconsin Technical College is inviting the public to a celebration honoring the college’s recent distinction as the #1 two-year college in the nation. Southwest Tech was named the winner of the 2025 Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence, the highest honor a community college can receive. The free, family-friendly celebration will take place on Saturday, Sept. 27, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the main campus in Fennimore. All are welcome—no registration or RSVP is required. The event will include hands-on demonstrations from academic programs, campus tours, giveaways, food trucks, and live music. Awarded every two years, the Aspen Prize honors one college in the country for outstanding outcomes in learning, completion, equity, and post-college success.
