Van Orden stops in La Crosse to promote “Big Beautiful Bill”

Congressman Derrick Van Orden promoted President Trump’s spending bill during a small business roundtable at Pearl Street Brewery. Van Orden used the gathering to highlight key provisions of the legislation, emphasizing tax relief measures and healthcare funding for Wisconsin residents. The congressman defended the bill against criticism that it would cut Medicaid programs. Van Orden also emphasized how the proposed legislation would benefit working families through tax exemptions on overtime and tips. Outside the brewery, protesters gathered to voice opposition to what they called the “big, beautiful bill” and Van Orden’s lack of in-person town halls.
