The American Red Cross of Wisconsin is looking for volunteers to serve on their Disaster Action Team. Volunteers with this team will be trained to offer immediate relief, shelter and compassion after fires, floods and other local and national emergencies. After initial training, shifts will include responding to emergencies within 2 hours, no matter the time or outdoor conditions, either on the scene or coordinating remotely to provide immediate compassion and care. The American Red Cross responds to over 65,000 disasters each year that impact communities across the country. No prior experience is needed and free, flexible training is available.
