Platteville School District approves purchase of Jackson St. property

The Platteville School District recently unanimously approved the purchase of 890 Jackson St., a 2.25-acre vacant property adjacent to Neal Wilkins Early Learning Center. A special meeting was followed by a regular board meeting, at which the board unanimously gave the district the go-ahead to purchase the land. The purchase price listed on the vacant land offer to purchase is $125,000. Potential uses for the land include additional pick-up and drop-off space and additional event parking space.
