Emergency assistance available following Grant County flooding

Grant County residents affected by the August 2025 flooding may be eligible for assistance through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Emergency Assistance Program.  A Facebook post by the Grant County Emergency Management, there are forgivable income-driven loans available for residences affected by flooding. Repairs under $5,000 may qualify as a 0% interest deferred loan—no payments as long as the home remains your primary residence. Reimbursement may be available for already-completed flood repairs with receipts. To apply contact Stephanie Foreman with Southwest CAP at 608-612-6909 Extension 430 for a 15-minute pre-screening before submitting an application to determine eligibility. Submitting an application does not guarantee assistance. Income must be verified before repairs or reimbursements are approved.
