A Dane County Board of Supervisors resolution seeking to revoke the license of a troubled beagle breeder Ridglan Farms is continuing to make progress after constituents raised concerns about animal abuse. The resolution would formally request the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection to revoke the farm’s license and place the dogs in custodial care while an ongoing investigation continues. District 25 Supervisor David Boetcher compared the move to placing children that are part of abuse investigations into child protective services. The measure now moves to the county’s executive committee for review. Boetcher expects the resolution will then advance to a full board vote at next month’s meeting.
