BigXthaPlug Arrested On Drug And Firearm Charges, Hours After Celebrating Release Of His Country Album

Just hours after hosting a release party in Dallas for his third studio album, I Hope You’re Happy, genre-bending rapper BigXthaPlug (real name Xavier Landum) was arrested early Friday morning (August 22) on charges of marijuana possession and unlawful firearm possession. In April, BigX scored a No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart with “All the Way,” feturing Bailey Zimmerman, and he collaborated with country superstars Luke Combs, Darius Rucker, Shaboozey, Thomas Rhett, and Ella Langley on his new album. Friday also saw the premiere of the music video for BigX’s highly-anticipated collaboration with Jelly Roll, “Box Me Up.”  “This album’s my heart, my story — the love, the loss, the heartbreak, the grind,” BigX said in a press release for his new project. “I wanted people to feel it all with me, the highs, the lows, the real life that shapes you.
