Governor Tony Evers announced Tuesday more than $18 million is being invested to support infrastructure projects in the state. According to a release from the governor’s office, the funds will go to 21 communities, including $1 million each to Prairie du Chien, Bagley, and Shullsburg. The money will be used for repairing local roads, sidewalks, drainage systems and other programs. Gov. Evers said he is investing in communities that could potentially deal with a lack of federal funding due to President Donald Trump’s proposed fiscal year 2026 budget.
