On Tuesday afternoon the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a motorcycle crash on Highway 27 at the intersection of Stoney Point Road. Law enforcement, medical, and fire personnel responded to the scene. 66-year-old Charles Marshall of Conway, South Carolina, was riding a motorcycle with two other motorcyclist. As the group was preparing to turn onto Stoney Point Road, Marshall struck the rear of another motorcycle and crashed. He wasn’t wearing a helmet, and he was ejected from his motorcycle. He sustained life-threatening injuries, and he was airlifted by Gundersen Air to a medical facility. The following day, Marshall succumbed to his injuries.
