A Dubuque native will appear on the televised game show “Wheel of Fortune” this week. Nick Oswald, of Ankeny, Iowa, will be a contestant on the show Thursday, Sept. 18. His appearance is part of Teachers’ Week, which sees educators from across the U.S. compete for cash and prizes. Oswald, a 1999 graduate of Dubuque Senior High School, is the eighth and ninth grade choir director at Southview Middle School in Ankeny. He said he applied to be on “Wheel of Fortune” several years ago and was selected after multiple Zoom calls and interviews. In April, he flew out to California to film the episode, which will air at 6:30 p.m. Thursday
