Comedy Central canceled Wednesday’s scheduled South Park episode after creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone failed to complete production on time. “Apparently when you do everything at the last minute sometimes you don’t get it done,” the co-creators said in a statement. “This one’s on us. We didn’t get it done in time. Thanks to Comedy Central and ‘South Park’ fans for being so understanding. Tune in next week!” The postponed episode marks the show’s first new installment since Charlie Kirk’s death at a Utah college campus on September 10th. Controversy had surrounded the August 6th episode “Got a Nut,” which featured jokes about Kirk’s politics and debate style. Comedy Central pulled that episode from linear reruns following Kirk’s killing, though it remains on Paramount+. South Park returns September 24th. (Story URL)
