Elton John fulfilled a playful wager by giving Lola Young the keys to his house after her single “D£aler” failed to reach number one on the charts. The 78-year-old music legend made the bet in July on his Apple Music show Rocket Hour, declaring “I bet my house that that’s a number-one single.” In an Instagram video posted Sunday, John joked with the 24-year-old rising star about honoring the agreement. “I said, ‘Lola, if your single didn’t get to number one, ‘Dealer,’ that I would give you the keys to my house,'” John said. When he asked if he and husband David Furnish could “stay the odd night,” Young replied “No, sorry. It’s mine now.” John responded “Me and my big mouth.” The track currently peaks at number 27 on UK singles charts and appears on Young’s latest album released September 19th. (Story URL)
